- Coconut Oil: Beneficial for dry, damaged, dull hair and has properties that aid in the prevention of UV damage. This is even a great oil to have in your hair while at the beach or sitting poolside.

- Monoi Oil: This oil shares many of the same properties as coconut oil but is actually Tahitian Gardenia petals soaked in coconut oil so this particular oil has a lovely and delicate scent. It is packed with vitamin E and helps with hair's elasticity and strength. It's also a great frizz fighter and moisture sealer for hair and skin.

- Lavender Oil: Promotes healthy hair growth by nourishing the scalp and follicles. This oil is great for evening hair routines because the relaxing scent has a calming effect. I love massaging my scalp and hair with this at night and covering it with a shower cap before going to bed. So relaxing Zzzzzz.

- Peppermint Oil: Now this is great "Wake you up" oil. The invigorating scent takes over your shower if you decide to apply this one for a morning energy boost. It has antiseptic and antimicrobial properties that aid with dry scalp and dandruff. The tingling sensation also helps with migraines.

- Castor Oil: This family of oils come in many forms: cold pressed is the best prevention of hair loss and aids in hair growth, not just for your scalp, but also for lashes and eyebrows. But use this one in moderation as buildup can occur in some cases. Use sparingly until you find a routine that works for your hair type.

Suggested Directions:

-Coconut Oil: Massage into scalp and hair. Low heat if possible. 15-20 minutes. Rinse out thoroughly. Shampoo and condition.

-Manoi Oil: Can be massaged into scalp and hair. Allow to sit 15-20 minutes, followed by shampoo and conditioner.  Or used lightly on the mid-shaft/ends of hair after styling to control frizz and seal moisture.

-Lavender Oil: For an evening hair treatment: Apply to scalp and hair. Cover with shower cap over night. Rinse, shampoo and condition the following morning.

-Peppermint Oil: Can be added to shampoo for and invigorating wash, or to conditioner as a peppermint conditioning treatment. Allow to sit 10-15 minutes before rinsing out conditioner.

-Castor Oil: Follow directions on castor oil package as I mentioned earlier, this oil comes in a variety of forms.
