Singer Mería releases her new single "In This Life," featuring reggae music band Big Mountain. She says. "my incredible manager Nico was a big fan of Big Mountain and had the idea of trying to reach out to them on Instagram. He slid into their Dm, and after a few messages from Quino, the vocalist answered. He seemed interested, so Nico sent him my music, told him about the project, and that we would love to do a collaboration with them."

The Colombian singer, better known to her family and friends as Mería Clara Medina, has achieved success in a short time since she started her career two years ago with her single "Mio." She will perform at the famous Hollywood Bowl Theater in Los Angeles with Big Mountain on September 18th, 2022. She's excited about the opportunity to perform on such an iconic stage and admits, "Not gonna lie, it means a lot to me, it's such a big opportunity for me as an emerging artist. I know it's not easy for other artists to get to that stage, I'm preparing myself to give the best of me to everyone that is going to be there with us, no doubt that that's gonna open doors for my career, it's going to be a huge opportunity, and I'm gonna take advantage of it as much as I can for sure."

Collaborating with Big Mountain was a challenge since her genre is pop, and she points out, "I never sang or wrote a reggae song before, it was a challenge to create something that would have the best of both worlds, pop, and reggae. It was such a nice experience."

Like every singer there are always other artists that inspire and influence them. She says,“Camilla Cabello has inspired me a lot, Camilo also and Justin Bieber. These are just a few, I have more artists that have inspired me in different ways.”
