British designer Kim Jones is leaving his role as the artistic director of womenswear and couture at Fendi to focus fully on his position at Dior Homme, Fendi announced in a statement on October 11, 2024.
Bernard Arnault, chairman and CEO of LVMH, said in a statement, "Kim Jones is a highly talented designer who has brought his unique and multicultural vision to Fendi over the past four years. I would like to thank him for his contribution and look forward to continuing to witness his creativity at Dior Men's."
From 2011 to 2018, Jones served as the men's creative director at Louis Vuitton. While at Louis Vuitton, one of his well-known collaborations was in 2017 with the skatewear brand Supreme.
In 2020, he took on the role of creative director at Fendi, succeeding the legendary Karl Lagerfeld following Lagerfeld's passing in 2019.
Fendi said a new creative organization for the label will be announced "in due time."
