Nadia French is the founder of Contemporary Approaches, an online lifestyle publication launched in 2020, covering topics such as: art, business, design, fashion, food, hospitality, special events, exclusive interviews and more.

She has written numerous articles and conducted exclusive interviews with founders, artists, top executives, influencers and influential community leaders.

Through an innovative and contemporary approach, she has shaped a distinctive editorial voice for the publication by creating concise yet informative content, focused on authentic storytelling and culturally relevant narratives.

EDUCATION

Nadia holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science with a focus on International Relations and a Minor in Music from Hunter College, CUNY, in New York.

MUSIC COMPOSITION + CREATIVE APPROACH

Her passion for music began in early childhood and eventually led her to study music composition at university.

Growing up in the Caribbean and being deeply rooted in its culture and heritage—musical influences such as reggae and dancehall, with reggae being her favorite genre—combined with her university studies in classical music, jazz, and music theory, gave her a distinctive and broad perspective on music composition.

This diverse musical foundation, strongly influences her approach to creative projects and storytelling.

MODEL

Her extensive global travels and experiences as a fashion model helped her to develop a broad cultural outlook while living and working in the Caribbean, the United States, and Europe.

PROJECTS | COMMUNITY SERVICE

Nadia has collaborated on a wide range of projects with international organizations, including the United Nations and CARICOM, and has held many leadership roles in several NGOs.

Her commitment to community outreach began in her youth, where she was an active leader in her church youth group and in organizations such as the Red Cross, volunteering as a certified first aid instructor, trained teen counselor, and event organizer for disaster-relief fundraisers.

She has been a featured guest speaker and facilitator for numerous workshops for diverse audiences, from corporate seminars and schools, to programs in rural communities for indigenous groups.

INTERESTS

She enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, being around animals, music, yoga, tennis, chess, cooking and being in nature.
