Ray-Ban Announes A$AP Rocky As First Ever Creative Director

Ray-Ban announced on February 21, 2025, the appointment of fashion innovator and entrepreneur A$AP Rocky as its first-ever Creative Director. In a statement, Ray-Ban highlighted Rocky as a "multi-hyphenate artist" who is taking the helm at the brand following the release of his fourth studio album, "Don't Be Dumb."

Ray-Ban President Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio said, “Today, we welcome A$AP Rocky into our family; he’s a visionary artist and creator.” The brand added that A$AP's influence will extend beyond just collections to include store design, campaign direction, and more.

The upcoming release, titled the "Blacked Out Collection," will blend classic styles with bold, modern influences. This collection will feature classic crafted frames adorned with exquisite gold-plated details and each pair will come equipped with cutting-edge ultra-black lenses.

This fusion of timeless design and contemporary flair is set for a special release in Spring 2025. Ray-Ban says, “watch out for the special drop-in Spring 2025 to get your hands on a pair designed by the artist himself.”
