The Kering Foundation Third Annual Caring for Women Dinner

The Kering Foundation hosted its third annual Caring for Women Dinner on September 9th in New York City. According to Kering Foundation the, “event is dedicated to raising awareness about gender-based violence and supporting three remarkable NGOs in their essential work to aid survivors and drive cultural change. The beneficiaries of this year’s event were: Girl Effect, It’s On Us, NNEDV.”

The star studded event was, “co-hosted by Salma Hayek Pinault, François-Henri Pinault, Camila Alves McConaughey, Matthew McConaughey, Carmelo Anthony, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Urs Fischer, Kim Kardashian, Donatella Versace, Naomi Watts, and Billy Crudup.”

The event was emceed by Gayle King, and Viola Davis delivered a keynote speech emphasizing the importance of freedom for women and girls from violence, while British singer Raye delivered an energetic and captivating performance.

According to Vogue, the event "raised nearly 3 million dollars to help end gender-based violence and improve the lives of survivors.” There was an auction featuring unique items from Kering’s Houses such as Bottega Veneta, Gucci, YSL, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, and Pomellato.
