Tiffany & Co. reopened its “Landmark” New York store on Fifth Avenue in New York. The newly remodeled store features cutting-edge designs with contemporary and innovative concepts.
“The reopening of the iconic Fifth Avenue Landmark is a major milestone for our House. Symbolic of a new era for Tiffany & Co., the Landmark is much more than a jewelry store— it is a cultural hub with an exquisite showcase of architecture and superior hospitality, as well as cutting-edge art and design. It sets a new bar for luxury retail on a global scale.” — Anthony Ledru, President and Chief Executive Officer, Tiffany & Co.
The store's much-anticipated renovation, the first since 1940, was a collaborative effort between renowned architect and interior designer Peter Marino, who brought a fresh vision to the interior, and the innovative OMA New York firm, led by the talented Shohei Shigematsu.
Actress Gal Gadot, who played "Wonder Woman," led the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Other well-known guests at the opening ceremony included Pharrell, Zoe Kravtiz, Hailey Bieber, Anya Taylor-Joy, Brooklyn Beckham, Nicola Peltz, Anitta, and Mark Wahlberg.
"The Landmark celebrates our House’s heritage, innovative spirit and passion for craftsmanship and design"-Tiffany & Co.
Visitors will enjoy an engaging and innovative store experience. The Blue Box Café, by renowned New York Michelin-starred chef Daniel Boulud, is another highlight of the exquisite hospitality experience.
Tiffany & Co., known for its exquisite jewelry and luxury goods, was founded in 1837 by Charles Lewis Tiffany and gained popularity in the early 1900s under his son's leadership, Louis Comfort Tiffany.
The luxury brand is now owned by LVMH and is undergoing a rebranding campaign led by Tiffany & Co. new CEO Anthony Ledru, and Alexandre Arnault the Executive Vice President of Product and Communications. LVMH, the world’s largest luxury conglomerate, bought a majority stake in Tiffany & Co for $15.8 billion on January 7, 2021. The French luxury company is estimated to have around 60 subsidiaries overseeing 75 renowned brands, including Sephora, Louis Vuitton, Princess Yachts, TAG Heuer. Christian Dior, and Fendi. Their rebranding efforts succeeded in making their brands relevant in popular culture and boosting profits.
It is exciting to see this heritage company re-brand itself and maintain its position as a "Landmark" location on New York's iconic Fifth Avenue.
